Rocky is an American sports drama from 1976 directed by John G. Avildsen and both written by and starring Sylvester Stallone. It tells the story of the American Dream of Rocky Balboa, an uneducated but gentle Italian / American boxer working class working as a debt collector for a loan shark in the slums of Philadelphia. Rocky starts as a small club boxer and later makes chance at the World Heavyweight. The film also shines Talia Shire as Adrian, Burt Young as Adrian's brother Paulie, Burgess Meredith as Rocky's trainer Mickey Gold Mill, and Carl Weathers as the champion, Apollo Creed.
