View-Master is the brand name of a stereo photographic system programs. The system was invented in 1938 by the German American William Gruber and put into production by Sawyer's, a factory in Gruber's hometown Portland (Oregon). The slides are mounted in circular cardboard discs, seven pairs per disk. These discs form part of a stereoscope or slide projector.
