Armada, known in Japan as Super Robot Life Form Legend of the Microns 2002-2004. It was originally scheduled for 2001 but was postponed until mid 2002. As the first series co-produced by the American toy company Hasbro and their Japanese counterpart, Takara, Armada begins a new security / universe Transformers without ties to any of the previous ones, including the immediately preceding Robots in Disguise in 2001. It inspired a sequel called Energon. Hasbro handled the distribution of the English license, while Takara Tomy dealt with the distribution of Japanese license.
