Warhammer (also known as Warhammer Fantasy Battles or the abbreviation WFB) is a tabletopspel released by Games Workshop Ltd, set in a fantasy world that is somewhat comparable to medieval Europe (castles, knights, limited technology), supplemented with magic and nonhuman intelligent races: Elves, Dwarfs, Undead, Chaos (Demons) Skaven (Ratachtigen), Reptile Men (Lizardmen) etc. the Warhammer world is rooted in, among other tales of fantasy writers JRR Tolkien (The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit) and Michael Moorcock (Elric of Melnibone). Warhammer is a game of British origin, so the terminology is English. Besides the fantasy version, there are other variants, such as Warhammer 40,000 (sci-fi setting) or Warhammer Historical (with different settings include antiquity, the Middle Ages, the English Civil War, Old West).
