The highland Velociraptors from Isla Sorna appear quite different from those seen in the first two films. These raptors seem to have undergone further biological evolution in the lab-their skulls are longer and feature prominent crests on the nasal bones, traits absent in the earlier variants and fossil depictions shown in the series. As with the previous version, sexual dimorphism is present. The females are beige with black markings across their bodies and have yellow eyes. Unlike the males, their head crests are smaller and lack the red coloration. Both sexes display rounded pupils.
